Instructions For Getting Off Mailing Lists

*CONSUMERS MUST REGISTER WITH MPS DIRECTLY

*SECOND·PARTY (Business) REQUESTS AND BULK (Group) REQUESTS CANNOT BE PROCESSED 

 

ABOUT: 

To receive less commercial advertising mail, you can register for the DMA'S Mail Preference Service (MPS). DMA does not provide marketers with consumer mailing lists or do consumer mailings. Rather, the Mail Preference Service is available to companies for the sole purpose of removing your name and address from their mailing lists. This service does not apply to mail sent to your business address, or to "resident/occupant" mail.

When you register with MPS:

1. Your name and address are placed in a "do-not-mail" file

2. It is updated monthly and distributed four times a year

HOW TO REGISTER: You have 2 ways to register (for a period of ten years)

1. Fill out Registration form and mail to the DMA ($3)

· Go To www.dmachoice.org

· Print and fill out form, with your signature

· Pay $3 by check or money order payable to DMA

· Send completed form and payment to:

· Complete Online Form


3 OPTIONS TO STOP MAIL FOR INDIVIDUALS: On the form

1. Stop mail to yourself - complete the information page on " Get Started"

2. Stop mail to a deceased person - complete the " Deceased Do Not Contact List "

3. Stop mail to a dependent in your care - complete the "Do Not Contact for Caregivers List "


NOTE: Processing by mail will take longer than online registration. Please note that categorical and specific company or organization opt-out requests, and other preference services, are not offered through mailed-in requests.
